Leah's extensive experience with activism has narrowed in to focus on politics, cyber civil rights, and LGBTQIA+ discrimination,
As a future legislator, Leah will promote intersectional healthcare equity, public housing and homelessness reform, educational equality for vulnerable students, gun violence prevention, aggressive federal hate crime legislation, amending asylum procedures for transgender refugees, and strengthening federal anti-discrimination ordinances.
Through writing, speaking, grassroots activism, Leah combats adversity locally and internationally.
A victim of revenge pornography, Leah advocates for cyber civil rights, federal legislation changes, and victim support services.
In 2016, Leah founded the March Against Revenge Porn, a social movement, research project, and series of protest marches and educational lectures. In April 2017, Leah led the first revenge porn march across the Brooklyn Bridge, and has three marches scheduled for 2018.
Leah has worked extensively with GLAAD, OutRight Action International, The United Nations Free & Equal Campaign, The New York City Pride Organization, The Boston Pride Organization, The Visible Me Campaign, The Ally Coalition, The Connecticut Department of Justice, and The Human Rights Campaign to fight LGBTQIA discrimination both locally and internationally through writing, theatre, and grassroots activism.
In 2017, Leah presented at the Human Rights Campaign annual "Time To Thrive" Conference on youth activism in the digital age.
In addition to published essays and poems about being transgender, nonbinary and a feminist, Leah has worked with with Feminist Apparel, Hollaback!, and HeartMob.
Leah has been featured in national and international media features on CNN, The New Day Show, BBC: World Service, Teen Vogue, The Daily Mail, Seventeen Magazine, Refinery 29, La Repubblica, Fox News, Sky News UK, Canadian Television, and MTV discussing political diversity, intersectionality, revenge pornography and activism.
